Taking a Look at Kodak PlaySport Zx5

The mini pocket sized camcorders were popular for some time and then its popularity slowly declined. The popularity may have faded but there are still many models out in the market such as Sony’s Bloggie range and Panasonic models. There’s even another model of the same kind, the Kodak PlaySport Zx5. Manufacturers based the design and features of the camera on the kind of activities adventurous people have. It can withstand even worse conditions.

These cameras, just like other pocket camcorders are easy to bring anywhere because they are pocket sized. It doesn’t matter whatever you are up to. The plastic cover of the camera comes in nice colors like aqua, black and red. The HDMI and mini USB ports are alongside each other on one side of the camera. There is also the slot for SDHC cards. The LCD screen of the camera measures around 2 inches. Below the screen you can also find a number of easy reach buttons for video recording, capturing still images, settings, playback, and delete. Below the screen is the 4 way control pad and in the center is the shutter button. The share button allows you to share your video or images directly to Facebook, flickr, Kodak Gallery, Twitter, YouTube, and Orkut.

With the Kodak PlaySport Zx5’s waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof qualities it is perfect for anyone who loves extreme sports. This pocket camera is waterproof for up to a depth of 10 meters and shockproof from a drop of 1.5 meters. You will not experience any problem even if you decide to use it extreme weather because it is dustproof. Kodak Zx5 has the ability to record the video in high definition at around 1080p. It can also capture 5 megapixel still images.

The internal memory of the camcorder is around 128MB. The lens of the camera also has very standard features including an aperture of f/2.8 and a fixed focal length. It also features digital stabilization of the images.

Another outstanding feature of the Kodak PlaySport zx5 is the share feature. The share button made sharing nice videos to your friends hassle free. The software is already included in the camera. Simply press the share button and choose the website where you want to share the video with. Then the video is shared automatically. It is that easy.

Although the quality of the video is not very high, it offers enough quality for the target people such as action adventurers and families. A professional photographer will not be satisfied with it on the other hand. It has a built in mic which also offers quality audio.

The camera also allows video editing. You can be very creative by using some filters like sepia, 70s film, and black and white without sacrificing the good quality of the film. The quality of the still images is also good with a little bit of over sharpening. But when the resolution is reduced, you can get good quality pictures with Kodak PlaySport Zx5.

Camcorders for instance Kodak PlaySport are terrific.

Your Guide to the Best Digital Camera Online

How long would it take to become totally confused as well as overwhelmed when looking for a digital camera? It looks like the Guinness record is around three and a half minutes, nevertheless for most consumers I’d estimate around two or three hours. Digital technology has done some great things inside the realm of photography; nevertheless simplifying buying decisions is not really one of them. There’s really no requirement for the confusion, as well as here are a few reasons why.

What most digital camera buyers want is merely to take great pictures with relative ease, in addition to without the need to read a 300 page manual. The great news, is that considering the quality of cameras available, this is a very achievable goal. The bad news is, that once many would be purchasers have waded by having a plethora of techno-babble as well as marketing hype, they merely quit and throw themselves at the mercy of the closest salesperson. In some instances that works out great. However, you might just purchase your camera with the best commission for John/Jane Doe Salesperson.

Finding the right digicam really just depends upon a few simple considerations. Any camera guide (sentient or else) that lets you know different should be promptly ignored. Firstly pick-up the camera with your two hands and shoots a bunch of pictures. Shopping on the web for cameras could be best for finding the right price, yet it’s not going to tell you how a camera feels in your own mitts. Your camera weight should feel right for you, and many types of controls ought to be with close range of the fingers. Make sure you navigate through the menu options, and then determine how intuitive they’re. There isn’t any replace for hands on research.

Image quality is among the most import consideration Have a few pictures (preferably before purchasing . . . see above) and discover what they appear to be. Now don’t just look at the pictures on the cameras LCD screen. Print some, and upload some into a computer. LCD screens can be very low resolution, and only hide image flaws, or obscure a truly great picture. You can read volumes about ISO settings, as well as image noise at those various settings. However, what matters most, is when the whole picture appears to your own two eyes. It’s that simple.

That’s truly the best digital buying camera guide your about to find everywhere. Long before computer digital technology came along; camera buying was a very simple proposition. And it still can be today. Just avoid getting too hooked on the marketing and technology speaks. People use cameras today for similar reason they did 50 or 60 in years past. They wanted to take great snap shots of memorable moments to treasure in addition to admire.

Wedding Photography Tips for Beginners - Candid Guest Shots

For a bride and groom, their wedding day is a unique event to be remembered for a lifetime. Emotions run wild and there is a feeling that anything is possible on a wedding day. The job of a photographer is to capture these feelings. Moreover, your photos need to give the impression that everyone at the wedding feels this way, not just the bride and groom. This is why candid photos of the guests are just as important as shots of a nervous groom or a crying father.

Candid guest shots are proof to the couple that their wedding was a special day to remember for everyone who attended. Imagine how the couple will feel when they see a candid photo of their uncle teary-eyed, or of their college roommate who always seemed so shy but at the wedding he just tore it up on the dance floor.

Obviously the best way to catch candid shots is to pay attention to what people are doing around you. But to take this one step further, you need to know what is going to happen before it happens. This means you need to start to really pay attention to the flow of events so you know what to expect.

An example of knowing what to expect during the ceremony: when the priest is talking to the bride and groom. You should get your normal couple shots of the bridal couple at this point. Great. But for the next few minutes you know that the priest will keep talking, and the bride and groom are pretty much going to look the same. This is the time to turn around and see what the guests are doing.

But remember it needs to be candid. So what I do is I kind of take a general sweeping look at the guests behind me and face forward again. Nobody knows that I was looking at him or her, it just seems that I was looking around. Still facing forward, I have in my head the image I want to shoot of one guest in particular who I think looked to be in a moment. So I set my camera settings, then quickly turn around and get the shot before the guest realizes he or she is a photo opp.

Right when the music begins at a reception is one more example of having a sixth sense at a wedding for good photo opps. As you have seen many times before, people are still kind of sheepish at this point and may not start dancing until later. The kids though, they all run out to the dance floor and start to play around. They need some way to get rid of all this pent up energy from having to behave during best man speeches. Just adjust your camera to shoot at high speeds as you walk over to the dance floor. As children never let you down for good candid shots, it is a good idea to keep track of their whereabouts during the wedding. If you get a break from your other shots, go find them and try to get a genuine moment.

Try these tips at your next wedding. Thanks for reading!

Qualities of the Best Digital Camera

Nowadays, digital cameras seem to be popping out of nowhere with various developers and producers giving us new versions of it. Unfortunately, it isn’t exceeding our expectations.

After spending sizeable amount of time at the mall figuring out which is the best digital camera for us, we finally have enough money to buy for that eye-popping, 7 mega pixel, 10x digital zoom, potable, candy colored, up to 512MB expandable memory of super hi-speed SD memory card and not to mention very portable, (that will be the envy of almost everyone we know). We march to the mall armed with our life savings and lotsa pride in ourselves, when we pass by a new display - an eight mega pixel, up to 1G expandable memory, with built it mic and stereo surround, video playback capable, with 22 scenic modes kind-of-camera. And we sigh because the producer of this amazing gadget claims that this is the best digital camera yet out in the market. And so as we always want to have the best, armed with our life savings and a few credit cards, we buy the “best digital camera.” But then again, that doesn’t last too long, after two months or so, there’s another “best digital camera.”

And so it confuses us. What makes a digital camera, the best digital camera?

For starters, there are a few elements that should be given priority when in search for the best digital camera.

MEGAPIXELS. In order for a camera to be considered as one of the best in the digital category, its mega pixel features are of the essence. A photograph will only turn out to be as good as the megapixels of the camera. Also, the resolution of your picture is dependent on the megapixel attributes of your digital camera. This is why you get less fuzzy colors and more specifications when you zoom in your image.

LCD SIZE. The size of your LCD should be large to easily frame the person or thing that is to be photographed. The best digital cameras usually have a LCD with frames reaching up to 2.5in or greater.

ZOOM. Most digital cameras have both digital and optical zoom. A higher optical zoom is always better than a higher digital zoom. Digital cameras are usually furnished with optical of between 3x to 10x. The better the optical zoom, the higher it climbs up to the best digital camera category.

MEMORY CARD. There are various kinds of memory card such as a SD and a Flash card. Be sure to choose the best one for your digital camera. Depending on the frequency of your use, you may need higher memory which is limited up to 1GB.

Remember, choose a digital camera that will best suit you and your circumstances. Never buy something just because it’s the hottest one in the market or it’s the latest one. You have to choose depending on your preferences and activities.

In general, the best digital camera isn’t the one that’s the most expensive or the newest but the one that you enjoy using the most.

How to Choose Where to Crop Your Photos - Wedding Photography Techniques for Newbies

Cropping your subject correctly is an important aspect of taking a great portrait. There are different standard portrait lengths: full body, the face and upper part of the body, close up of the face, etc. How do we decide what to leave in frame and what to crop out? I am going to talk about different ways to crop a portrait to make the finished image look more professional, and more pleasing to the eye.

There are two different ways to properly crop an image: in camera, and in post-production. The first method, cropping in camera is the best way of cropping. By cropping in camera you get the full resolution of your camera in your final images. Cropping in camera means that you carefully frame your subjects as you shoot your images, and decide what is in frame and what is out of frame. When you take a picture of a person’s face, just the face is in frame, not the whole body to be cropped out later. By doing this, the final image will have the full resolution that your camera has recorded.

Sometimes this just isn’t possible though, and you will need to use the second method of cropping: cropping in post production. At times you must shoot action shots that are so fast that they don’t give you time to properly frame your subject.

Examples of this might be many people fast dancing at the reception, or people jumping to catch the bouquet or garter. This is ok. Just shoot and try to capture the moment, then later you can crop your image with Photoshop or another similar photo editing program. But, as stated earlier, you lose some resolution quality to your final image.

Now that we have gone over the two different ways to crop a photo we can now move on to how to crop correctly. What do you decide to leave in frame, and what do we crop out of the image? It’s easiest to begin with where we shouldn’t crop. You should never try to crop a subject at the articulations, that is, the joints, ankles, knees, or waist.

You are probably aware of the full length shot, that is, the entire body of your subject with a little bit of space above the head, and below the feet. The next kind of portrait is called the 3/4 length shot. In this type of portrait the thigh of the subject makes the bottom edge of the frame, and a little space above the head of the subject will be the upper frame.

Moving along we have the head and shoulders length portrait. This is done by framing the subject with the upper chest as the bottom edge of the image, and once again a small space above the head will be the top edge of the image.

The last type of portrait is also the most complicated, the close up of the face. As you may have seen in countless fashion magazines or photos online, these portraits for the most part tend to be more artistic. Because of this there are no hard and strict rules for cropping. My advice to you is to study the genre of facial close ups and choose a style of cropping that best suits your photography, and then expand from there.

If you new to wedding photography keep with it! I hope this tip helps you out at your next wedding. Good Luck.
